The Recipe Incubator*



Summer is here, and we are heating up with exciting things here at La Cuisine Paris !


For the second year running, during the month of July we have an exciting project that we would love to have you join us for – Lundi with Mardi 


We know how much fun it is to play in the kitchen, so we would like you to join us!  A number of clients have asked about getting behind the scenes with us, and here is your chance! We want YOU to help test the recipes that we are developing both for our classes, and for a small cookbook of our favorite classic French dishes !


This July, we will host five free recipe testing workshops here at La Cuisine Paris !  We are looking for six participants per session to be our ‘testers’. The workshops are free and no experience is required, however we do ask that participants be keen recipe enthusiasts, have a good eye for details and of course be enthusiastic about and interested in food !  Each group will test and work through one or two recipe/s from start to finish.  All ingredients will be provided for the class – the subject will vary and will only be announced at the beginning of the class.  The best part? You'll get to taste the fruits of your labor at the end !


Incubator dates and times are as follows :

July 1st from 14h30 to 16h30 - FILLED

July 8th from 14h30 to 16h30 - FILLED

July 15th from 14h30 to 16h30 - FILLED

July 22nd from 14h30 to 16h30 - FILLED



Enrollment for the sessions is on a first come, first served basis.   In order to register, follow these simple steps :

*Important points : the workshop is free; the workshop takes place at the school 80 Quai de l'Hôtel de Ville; registration is on a first come first served basis.

Please note, these are NOT cooking classes – they are recipe testing classes.  You will be lead and guided by our team member through realization of the recipe.  



Some tasty info on Mardi who will be leading the Incubators !


Mardi Michels is a full-time French teacher to elementary school-aged boys and the author of eat. live. travel. write - a blog focusing on culinary adventures near and far. She has lived and worked as a teacher in Australia, Hong Kong, England, France and now calls Toronto home. As part of her job, she runs a cooking class twice a week for 7-13 year-old boys, Les Petits Chefs and Cooking Basics.


Mardi has had recipes published in the Peko Peko charity cookbook as well as Foodies of the World.

Mardi has an Honours degree in French literature, a teaching degree from the University of Adelaide in Australia and an MA in Second and Foreign Language Teaching from the University of London (Paris campus).

She’s also a cook, baker, traveller, photographer, writer, Food Bloggers of Canada co-founder, Food Revolution Day Ambassador for Toronto and in her spare time (!) teaches French pastry classes (focussing on macarons) around Toronto.
