We’ll explore some of the hidden culinary secrets from France’s oldest and most characterful cooking equipment store, to specialist boutiques offering mouth-watering delicacies, which we will of course get to taste or purchase to nibble on later.

Au menu :

- We start at one of our favourite French cooking equipment stores, dating back to 1820

- Winding through the streets in the shadow of Saint Eustache, we will swing by our favourite Foie Gras boutique, one of the oldest in the area

- No food experience would be complete without Fromage!  We will be stopping by our favourite fromager to pick our selection to enjoy

- Making our way through the lively streets, we will pick up a selection of our ‘saucisse’ and meats from our favourite Boucherie-Charcuterie!

- Naturally we have to that wonderful French Bread to enjoy with our morsels, so we will visit our preferred boulangerie

From foie gras to fromage, sweets to meats – at the end of the tour we’ll enjoy our haul of treats à la française with a glass of wine in hand!

Please note that this Paris food tour operates outside for the majority of the time. We will spend approx 2.5 hours on foot with approximately 3.2 kilometers /2 miles of walking, so you will want to dress comfortably and appropriately! If you’re a food lover but want to escape the kitchen to explore Paris instead, you can still let your stomach lead the way with our Bellies on Foot Food Tours in Paris!

Join us for three hours of exploring and tasting our way through one of the most historic neighborhoods of Paris – Les Halles and Rue Montorgueil.  Long nick-named the ‘Belly of Paris’ thanks to Emile Zola’s famous 1873 novel ‘Le Ventre de Paris’, the area forms the foundation of the French gastronomic scene and is packed full of delicious delights to discover!

We intend to have a typically Parisian experience from shopping to transport via metro (tickets provided).  If you are unsure of the meeting point, take a look at this google map.

If you are a French wine and fromage fanatic, then this is the experience for you. In our Fromage and Wine discovery, you will enjoy a visit to our local fromager, learn the basics of French fromage and wine, and of course taste your way through various fromage and wine from around France!

During our time, you will discover more on:

·         the history and theory of the making of fromage and wine in various regions throughout France

·         the importance of French food labels and how to understand what they mean

·         tasting and serving tips for a variety of wines and cheeses

·         how to pair fromage and wine together and what to look out for when pairing them with other foods and beverages

During the workshop, between the visit to the Fromager and onsite during your tasting, enjoy sampling a selection of 10-12 of France's finest cheeses ! Naturally to partner with your Fromage explorations, enjoy accompanying wines from various regions in France.  We wouldn't dare have a Fromage and Wine experience without also having fresh baguettes, so there will be pleanty of accompaniments from our favorite boulangerie in the neighborhood.

We intend to have a typically Parisian experience from shopping to transport via metro (tickets provided).  If you are unsure of the meeting point, take a look at this google map.

Millions of people visit the Palace of Versailles, but not many realize that tucked away just off of the grounds of the Château is Le Potager du Roi – the 17th century Garden created for King Louis XIV – and it truly is a garden fit for a king!

Changing ‘la cuisine Française’ and the dining table forever, this magnificent garden is credited not only for advanced techniques such as creating a microclimate for the production of over 300 varieties of fruits and vegetables that grew despite the season, but also for dramatically changing what was served at the king's table.

We start our gastronomic Versailles adventure with a journey through the spectacular ‘Potager’ and its importance to Versailles and the history of la cuisine Française.

Leaving the ‘Potager’, we will continue our journey onwards through the city of Versailles tovisit and taste our way around the local Market de Versailles.  We will tour the four market pavilions, discuss current cuisine trends and topics, and collect items for our French ‘apero’ (the ‘apero’ in France is a term used for pre-dinner nibbles), as well as cheeses to create our own fromage plate.

Following the market we will head to our favorite local restaurant where we will enjoy the ‘apero’ items we have collected, followed by a four-course set menu, including our fromage plate from the market, served with wine.

The experience will end at around 2pm, when you will be provided with a ticket to enjoy a visit to the Château of Versailles during the rest of your afternoon, and a return ticket for your train journey back to Paris.

‘A savoir’ for this experience:

We meet promptly at 9:00am to take the RER together to the city of Versailles - please note that a lateness will mean us having to take a later train.

The cost of this tour is inclusive of:

·         transport to and from the city of Versailles via the RER

·         a private guided tour of the Le Potager du Roi

·         all purchases made for the group at the market

·         the four course set meal at the restaurant

·         a one day admission ticket for the Château of Versailles (for you to use after the tour)

You will be provided with a little welcome package including a La Cuisine Paris tote bag with train tickets to and from the city of Versailles, a map of Versailles, and tickets to enjoy the château after lunch.

Please note: We will be outside for the majority of the tour and will spend approximately three hours of the tour on foot and walking. There is extensive walking involved in this tour! Please ensure that you wear comfortable and appropriate clothing and shoes, so that you are able to have the most enjoyable experience with us!  If you are not sure of the meeting point, take a look at this google map

We intend to have a typically Parisian experience from shopping to transport via metro (tickets provided).  If you are unsure of the meeting point, take a look at this google map.

The perfect Friday evening in Paris starts with a visit to one of the most contemporary Markets in the city just along the bustling rue Bretagne in the Marais.  Spend the evening with our chef collecting your ingredients during the visits to our wonderfully delicious local ‘artisan’ shops.  Weaving through the local fromager, boucherie, boulangerie, et plus, and of course the Marché des Enfants Rouges, we build our gourmet meal.

After collecting our goods, in a true experience à la parisienne, we will take the metro back to La Cuisine Paris where you will have a hands-on cooking class and work with our chef to create a gourmet dinner using your fresh market products!

After creating your beautiful meal, enjoy dining on the fruits of your labor - view of the Seine included!

For this market experience at Marché des Enfants Rouges, it is important to note that there will not be fish available.  The menu will be built around a meat dish decided by the group.

Unless you see something you really want to buy for yourself, no need to take your wallet out, we will take care of all purchases on the market (the class price is all inclusive of items purchased on the market for the group meal!).  Please note that this is the one class where we do not have a set menu or set recipes – every class will be different! We leave it to the group and the chef to be creative and choose their menu based on the most beautiful products they find on the market!
