Designed by Studio Vincent Eschalier, Kanoun is flooded with natural light creating an airy, luminous space. That doesn’t mean it’s not cosy though, thanks to three stylish uplit alcoves lined with curvaceous banquettes. Swish.
Snag one of these lovely booths and you’ll be surrounded by delicate line-drawings of tropical plants as you pour your Jasmine or fresh mint Tea. Then it’s just a case of choosing which of the bite-sized pastries to indulge in! You’ll be choosing between traditional Berber makrouts (fried semolina treats spiced with cinnamon and rosewater), delicious baklava with its sweet and sticky layers, and colourful almond sweets which can be beautifully boxed to take away as a stylish (and decadent) gift! You can expect to be browsing that marble counter display for a while as you struggle to choose. What’s more, the coffee’s good too!
