Vin Chaud !

Tuesday 30 Nov 2021 / Category: French Recipes & more!

The perfect accompaniment to your French Holiday Celebration ! The holidays wouldn't be the holidays without a bit of win, and we love it warm.

Ingredients

1 bottle of red wine
A (hearty!) splash of Grand Marnier
250g sugar (brown works best but white works too!)
Juice of one orange
2 cinnamon sticks
4 cloves
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 vanilla bean
Orange slices

Method

It couldn't be simpler! Just put all your ingredients into a large pan and bring to the boil to allow the sugar to melt. Cut the vanilla bean, add the seeds to the wine and then drop in the vanilla pod too.

To let the flavours infuse, simmer for around 30 minutes, then serve in glasses for maximum visual effect!
