The Lutetia becomes Paris' 12th Palace Hotel 

The only Palace hotel on Paris' Left Bank, The Lutetia sits proudly in the Saint-Germain-des-Près neighbourhood just moments from the iconic Bon Marché - so heaven for upscale shoppers! The Lutetia first opened in 1910, and is a landmark of Art Deco style. Today, there's a medley of upscale bars and restaurants - including an in-house Brasserie under the watchful eye of triple Michelin Star chef Gerald Passedat. There's also a luxurious spa, a pool and a hair salon - so you'll beready to glide into the Bon Marché for a little retail therapy. You'll be joining historic ranks should you choose to visit, following in the footsteps of Picasso, Hemingway (of course), Josephine Baker, James Joyce, Matisse...

New museum to open in 2021: Art Ludique in Saint Lazare 

It would be pretty cool to have a museum in the oldest train station in Paris, wouldn't it? Well there soon will be! Art Ludique is set to open the world's first museum in a functioning train station, and it boasts another trailblazing claim to fame - it will be the world's first museum dedicated to the creative arts. Everything from videogames, comics, design, animation, manga... Art Ludique will dive into the world of our creative imaginations and get us inspired by the joys of creativity in all its forms. 

The Museum of Illusions is now open!

Optical Illusions, Holograms, a Vortex Tunnel, kaleidoscopes, forced perspective - all these tricks of the mind and the eye can be found in a brand new museum on the rue Saint Denis - the Museum of Illusions! This fun, interactive space opened in December of 2019 and is such fun for the whole family. You can play your way around this fascinating and fun space, which offers all the accessible science behind the amazing illusions you'll find inside. A fabulous new addition to Paris' Museum Landscape!

A.P.C. opens a pop-up cafe in Palais Royal until 31 January

Everybody loves coffee, a fact that A.P.C - the stylish clothing and accessories brand started in 1982 - is getting involved with in their new pop-up coffee shop in the elegant arcades of the Palais Royal. Where better to enjoy a great cup of coffee than amidst the peaceful colonnades and gardens of this hidden-away spot? You can get lattes, macchiatos, cuppucino...and you can also pick up a t-shirt or bag of coffee beans to go! Minimalist and airy, there are just a handful of chairs so grab a coffee to go and find a lovely bench in the gardens just outside.

Big Mamma reveals its latest address in the 10th Arrondissement: Libertino

East Mama, Big Love (gluten free pizza), Pink Mamma, Mamma Primi, Ober Pizzeria Popolare and now - Libertino, the latest in the Big Mamma Empire. In case you don't know, Big Mamma have pretty much seduced the city with their take on fun and festive Italian fare. In this case that means a lot of atmosphere, delicious food, ingenious design and - runaway popularity. Libertino is now open in the trendy 10th arrondissement. Ordinarily the Big Mamma's don't go in for reservations but this time around there are a limited number of pre-bookable tables - just be on your toes, things move fast! Cocktails, antipasti, pasta, pizza - it's all here

Pouliche

The first restaurant from chef Amandine Chaignot, Pouliche is one of the latest to join the growing selection of great addresses in the buzzy 10th arrondissement. Chef Chaignot celebrates fresh vegetables and produce here, along with the highest quality meats and fish. Start with a cocktail at the bar, then move on to a three-course adventure chosen from an extremely tightly curated menu. 

11 Rue d'Enghien

Dragon

TV Chef and restaurateur Cyril Lignac reveals a brand new address in the 6th arrondissement, and this one is all about cocktails. Named after the street you'll find it on, Dragon occupies what was once Lignac's chocolate factory. Now it's a low-lit drinking den for upscale tipples!

Contraste

Opened in September, Contraste is the new restaurant from Stéphane Manigold, with chefs Kevin de Porre (Kei**, Plaza Athenée***,  and Erwan Ledru (Le Meurice**, Lasserre*) - making for quite the team. In the upscale 8th arrondissement, Contraste certainly looks the part, with high ceilings, original mouldings, chic banquette seating and plush velvet.

Mama Shelter West

The funky urban hoteliers have opened a second Paris address over in the west of the city, at the Porte de Versailles Expo centre. This newest addition to the hotel family also boasts a gym and sauna along with its signature rooftop hangout and restaurant, so if you're looking for a trendy option within 20 minutes of central Paris, you might want to check it out!

La Scène

After six years at the stylish Prince de Galles Restaurant, double Michelin Star chef Stéphanie Le Quellec is officially at the helm of her own Paris restaurant with La Scene, as of October 2019. This has been a lifelong dream for Le Quellec, and the open-plan design will celebrate the convivial, family atmosphere she hopes to create. The design here is as stylish as the food - think golden tones with curvaceous banquettes and a seriously glamorous bar.  For more addresses in the 8th arrondissement, clickhere.

J.K. Place 

It's the first opening outside Italy for J.K. Place, and they're not pulling their punches! Bespoke furnishings, marble, French antiques, an upscale Italian restaurant, a spa, and just 30 rooms make this an intimate and luxurious address.
